Mt. St. Helens Volcano Eruption

In 1980 on March 27th, My. St. Helens Volcano showed signs of erupting in Skamania County, Washington state after a series of earthquakes lasting weeks, the volcano finally erupted smally on March 27th. Smaller eruptions occurred proceeding this event and finally on May 18th, 1980 a 5.1 magnitude earthquake caused it to erupt explosively causing debris to fly everywhere causing the deaths of 57 people and lasting 9 hours described as a Plinian Eruption.
